In the hinterland of Aegina there is a network of trails that once united the villages from one end of the island to the other. In recent years the mountaineering club "Anavasi" (=Ascent) with the club of Active Citizens have been trying to clean and put signs on those paths so that they can be accessible to visitors/hikers.
