Lychna

Built in the gulf of Moudros, Lychna took its name from the oil lamps of the houses, which were the first thing the sailors saw at night when they entered the bay of Moudros. Another story says that there was a lighthouse here and this is how the place got its name.

Today, on the cobbled square of the village, three young people own a special café - tavern and organize music nights and other events. Among the most visited sites of the village are the restored windmill on the hill and the Church of St. Demetrius which was built in 1865.
