Ftelia

This is a Northern beach at Panormos Bay with crystal clear waters and soft sand. It is also considered as the best waveriding and windsurving beach of the island. When you are on the western side of the beach the place looks like a lagoon, especially when there is no wind. The beach is divided in two by some rocks that go all the way down to the seashore. The remains of a Neolithic settlement that dates back to 4.500 B.C. have been found on the rocks. Also, it is possible that the tomb of Aiantas Lokros, the hero of the Trojan war, lays there.

You can reach the beach if you take the road to Ano Mera. There is a big parking area along the beach but parking space can also be found at the sides of the dirt road leading to the seaside.
