Therma

Therma is located in the southeastern part of the island, about 13 km from Kos town. The landscape is uniquely beautiful with steep slopes, cliffs and dark pebbles (result of volcanic eruptions millions of years ago).

“Therma” means warm and the place got its name from the hot springs that have been there for centuries now. The water of the hot springs is rich in calcium, potassium, sodium, sulfur and magnesium; components that are considered beneficial for the healing of the skin or the treatment of arthritic and rheumatic diseases. The temperature of the water ranges from 30 to 50 degrees Celsius.

In front of the beach there is an artificial small lake which is separated from the rest of the beach with rocks. The sea water enters the lake and cools the hot water. The beach is perfect for all ages and at any season. You can get there either by bus or car.
