Nauagio Beach

Nauagio (meaning “shipwreck”) is perhaps the most photographed beach in Greece, if not the world. It is accessible either by boat from various parts of the island or by car up until Porto Vromi. If you choose the second alternative, you will driver through Macherado villages, St. Leontas and Maries, till you arrive at Port Vromi port where there is a boat to the shipwreck. On the way the captain stops the Blue Caves. The beach is usually very crowded, but swimming there is one of the most beautiful experiences of a holiday on Zakynthos. The beaches of Tsilivi, Argasi and Alykanas are ideal for those who love water sports.
