National Forest Park Cavo Gkreko

This is an area of unspoilt beauty, which has been declared a National Forest Park and site of protection. It is located on the rocky Cavo Greco, on the south coast between the popular resorts of Agia Napa and Protaras, covering an area of 385 hectares.

You can hike in a mesmerizing landscape of pines and cypresses which offers a magnificent view to the aquamarine sea that lies ahead. One of these most famous hiking trails is part of the E4 European Long Distance Paths, stretching from Gibraltar to Cyprus. It is a 2 km long trail, which goes through the southeast coast of Cavo Greco. It is also part of the Aphrodite Cultural Route. Do not forget to visit the small white chapel of St. Anargyroi, which has stairs leading to the sea, or follow one of the paths that lead to the cave of the Cyclops. In the region there are also special trails for cycling.

You can also go on a boat trip along the coast and swim near the sea caves, also known as “Palaces”.  Cavo Greko is ideal for diving, thanks to the warm sea. The water temperature ranges from 16 degrees Celsius in winter to 28 degrees in the summer, while the clear waters allow visibility up to 30 - 40 meters. The fauna of the seabed hosts several interesting species.
